How the Symbol Collection Mechanic Works

Pirots 3 uses an innovative collecting system instead of traditional paylines. Four bird characters—green, blue, purple, and brown—land on the grid and move to adjacent positions to collect symbols. Each bird collects gems matching its colour plus all feature symbols like coins, dynamite, keys, and upgrades.

The birds continue moving and collecting until no more collectable symbols are adjacent. Collected paying gems and wilds fill the symbol collection meter above the grid. When the meter fills, you receive a feature symbol release that converts three gems into random feature symbols.

This creates cascading gameplay where birds keep collecting, triggering features, and generating wins in a single drop. The longer the collection sequence, the bigger the potential payout.

Gem Upgrade System Explained

The core mechanic of Pirots 3 revolves around upgrading four gem colours—red, purple, green, and blue—through seven payout levels. All gems start at level 1 (lowest value) in normal mode. When a bird collects an upgrade symbol, all gems of that bird's colour increase by 1, 2, or 3 levels.

The golden horseshoe upgrade all symbol simultaneously boosts all four gem colours. Red gems at max level 7 pay 4.00, purple pays 3.00, green pays 2.00, and blue pays 1.50. Higher-level gems display golden crowns, with the most valuable gems featuring elaborate crowns.

Gem levels persist during bonus games, so upgrading gems before triggering free drops significantly increases win potential. The highest-paying gems can appear with 25x multipliers, creating massive payout opportunities.

Showdown Duel Feature

When two birds end up adjacent, they have a random chance to trigger a Showdown. Three or more adjacent birds always trigger this feature. During the Showdown, birds move apart, clearing symbols in their path, then shoot randomly in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal directions.

Shots remove gems, collect bonus symbols, keys, and coins, and ignite dynamite. After the shootout, birds redrop and symbols refill. The Showdown creates opportunities for large-scale grid clearing and multiple feature activations.

Feature Symbols and Their Effects

Coin Symbols: Pay their value (2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 500x, 1000x, 2500x) multiplied by your bet when collected. The MAX WIN coin instantly pays the remaining amount to reach the $1,000,000 maximum.

Wild Symbols: Substitute for any gem at its current payout level. The black bandit wild represents whichever gem currently has the highest payout level.

Dynamite Symbols: Trigger explosions that remove symbols (except features), expand the grid by one row or column up to 8×7 maximum, and cause a symbol redrop. Large dynamite expands to maximum size immediately.

Transform Symbols: Convert a cluster of adjacent gems to match the colour of the bird that collected it. Some transformed gems may become feature symbols instead.

Peanut Symbols: Fill empty grid spaces with peanuts, allowing birds to cross empty areas once to reach additional symbol clusters.

X-iter Feature Buy Options

Pirots 3 includes X-iter for purchasing direct feature access. Bonus Hunt costs 3x bet and provides quadruple chance to trigger free drops. Bandit Jailbreak costs 25x for guaranteed bandit escape. Coin Game costs 50x for direct coin game entry. Bonus costs 100x for guaranteed bonus game. Super Bonus costs 500x and starts on maximum 8×7 grid with all upgrades affecting all gems.

All X-iter modes maintain 94.0% RTP. Minimum X-iter cost is $0.60, maximum is $50,000. Feature buy is only available in base game, not during active bonus rounds.

Bonus Game Free Drops

Triggered by collecting three golden bull skull bonus symbols during a game round, awarding 5 free drops. Each additional bonus symbol collected during the bonus adds one more free drop. The regular bonus starts on the current grid size (minimum 7×6), while the super bonus starts on maximum 8×7 grid.

All gem payout levels and symbol collection meter progress persist throughout free drops. Any pending feature symbol releases at bonus start are awarded during the first drop. The bonus ends when free drops are exhausted or the 10,000x win cap is reached.

Bandit Escape and Duels

The caged bandit on the left side is freed when a bird collects a golden key symbol. The bandit escapes his cage and lands on the grid when birds finish collecting. Unlike birds, the bandit collects gems of any colour and all feature symbols, but doesn't contribute to the symbol collection meter.

When the bandit lands adjacent to a bird, they duel. If the bandit wins, the bird is removed from the grid and the bandit continues collecting. If the bird wins, the bandit's accumulated winnings are paid out and the escape feature ends. Defeating all four birds triggers the bandit coin game, where the bandit throws lassos solo to collect falling coin bags.
