Bandit Birds, Exploding TNT & Train Heists in the Wild West
Four unique bird characters move across the grid collecting matching coloured gems and all feature symbols. Each bird has its paired gem colour.
Gems upgrade from level 1 to level 7 with increasing payouts. Collect upgrade symbols to boost gem values by 1, 2, or 3 steps instantly.
Birds embark a moving train that crosses the grid, awarding 1-3 feature symbols from red carts or golden coin carts before disembarking opposite side.
Collect a key to unlock the caged bandit bird. He escapes and collects any gem colour plus all features, duelling other birds for supremacy.
TNT crates explode symbols, expand the grid by 1 row or column up to 8x7, and trigger redrops. Large dynamite expands to maximum size instantly.
Clear the entire grid to trigger coin game. Birds throw lassos to catch falling coin bags whilst avoiding scorpions. Values multiply by active bet.
Adjacent birds randomly trigger duels, moving apart then shooting in straight and diagonal lines, removing gems and collecting bonus symbols along paths.
Collect 3 bonus symbols (golden bull skulls) for 5 free drops. Gem levels and collection meter progress persist. Super Bonus starts on max 8x7 grid.
CollectR has created something genuinely innovative with Pirots 3. This isn't your typical cascading slot with static symbols. Instead, four bird characters physically move across a 7x6 grid (expanding to 8x7) collecting matching coloured gems and triggering an interconnected web of features that transform every spin into a strategic puzzle.
Each of the four birds is paired with a gem colour: red, purple, green, or blue. Birds move horizontally or vertically to adjacent matching gems, collecting them for payouts. The genius is in the layering: whilst collecting, birds can also grab upgrade symbols (silver horseshoes showing 1, 2, or 3) which immediately boost that bird's gem colour by up to 3 payout levels.
Gems start at level 1 and can reach level 7, with the top-tier red gem paying 4.00 at max level. The upgrade all symbol (golden horseshoes) simultaneously boosts all four gem colours, creating explosive value shifts mid-spin.
Above the grid sits a meter that counts every gem and wild symbol collected by birds (bandit collections don't count). Fill it completely to earn one feature symbol release. You can stack up to three releases, which convert 3 gems into random feature symbols just before dynamite explodes or when birds finish collecting.
This creates strategic depth: do you want coin symbols for instant payouts, transform symbols to convert gem clusters to matching colours, or peanuts that fill empty spaces allowing birds to cross voids?
Two or four grid positions on left and right edges are marked with train backdrops. When a bird collects a symbol on one side and can reach a train position on the opposite side, the train heist triggers. A locomotive arrives, the bird boards, travels around the grid's perimeter whilst the train awards 1-3 feature symbols from either red carts (varied features) or golden carts (guaranteed coins), then the bird disembarks opposite and continues collecting.
This mechanic prevents birds getting stranded and injects mid-sequence bonuses without interrupting the collection flow.
A caged bandit bird sits locked on the left panel. Collect a golden key symbol to trigger his escape. The bandit lands on the grid and collects any gem colour plus all features, making him more versatile than regular birds. The catch: when he encounters another bird, they duel. If the bandit wins, that bird is removed and he continues collecting. If he loses, the escape feature ends and his accumulated value pays out.
Should the bandit defeat all four birds, he collects every remaining symbol then triggers the bandit coin game for additional lasso-catching rewards.
Dynamite symbols come in two sizes. Small dynamite explodes nearby symbols (excluding features) and expands the grid by one row or column. Large dynamite immediately expands to maximum 8x7. Both trigger redrops to fill empty spaces. Pending feature releases activate just before explosions, maximising the chaos and potential for chain reactions.
Three collected bonus symbols (golden bull skulls with horns) award 5 free drops. The current grid size, gem payout levels, and collection meter progress all carry over. Each bonus symbol collected during free drops awards one additional drop. The Super Bonus variant starts on max 8x7 grid with all upgrade symbols affecting all gems simultaneously, available via X-iter for 500x bet.
Two adjacent birds have a random chance to trigger a showdown. Three or more adjacent birds always trigger it. Birds move apart, removing symbols in their path, then shoot in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines. Gems along shooting paths are removed, bonus/coin/key symbols are collected, and dynamite ignites. After the shootout, birds redrop and empty spaces refill.
Five purchase options bypass base game grinding:
Pirots 3 operates at 94.0% RTP across all modes including X-iter purchases. The maximum win is capped at 10,000x your bet. A special MAX WIN coin symbol appears that instantly pays the remaining amount needed to reach the £1,000,000 maximum prize when collected.
The volatility is high due to the gem upgrade mechanics and bonus feature stacking. Base game can feel slow when birds collect low-level gems, but a single upgrade all symbol or successful train heist can shift the entire grid's value structure in seconds.
The wild symbol is a multicoloured ring (red, purple, green, blue sections) representing all gems at their current payout levels. The black bandit wild specifically substitutes for whichever gem currently has the highest payout level, making it dynamically valuable as gem levels fluctuate.
Most slots with collection mechanics limit you to passive watching. Pirots 3's birds actively navigate the grid, creating emergent strategies: which bird should collect which cluster first? Will triggering a duel clear a path for better collections? Should you hope for dynamite to expand the grid before the bonus triggers?
The Western theme is executed with personality. Bird characters have distinct designs (hats, scarves, expressions), TNT crates authentically match vintage dynamite boxes, and the sunset desert town backdrop with buildings labelled MARSHAL, BANK, and SOUVENIRS creates proper Wild West atmosphere without descending into cliché.
CollectR has delivered a genuinely complex slot that rewards understanding its systems whilst maintaining visual clarity through clean grid presentation and bold symbol design.
