Four space-pirate parrots collect coins, trigger Fire Minions, and hunt the Inferno jackpot across an explosive 8×8 grid
Pirots 4 replaces traditional spinning reels with a gravity-based symbol drop system where four bird collectors move across the grid, hunting gems and triggering explosive bonus mechanics
Armoured mech robots ignite birds into fire marathons. Burning birds sprint across the grid leaving mystery fires that reveal coins at four escalating value levels.
Four colour-coded bombs positioned at space station corners. Match a bird to its bomb colour to detonate a 3×3 blast zone and expand the grid up to 8×8.
Swirling vortex absorbs every symbol and bird, then redistributes them randomly. Can remove up to three birds and convert their gem colours to survivors.
Triggered by clearing the grid during Spacecorn feature. Play on a massive 9×9 grid with 3 respinning drops, Fire Minions, and the Charlie "don't press" button.
Collect three bonus skulls to trigger 5 free drops. Super Bonus starts on maximum 8×8 grid size and all upgrade symbols boost every gem colour simultaneously.
Three or more adjacent birds collide into one position, obliterating a 5×5 area. Birds fly outward collecting coins, wilds, and bonus symbols along their trajectory.
Four collecting bird characters, each paired with a matching gem colour. Birds move horizontally and vertically to adjacent symbols, collecting gems of their own colour plus all feature symbols.
Pirots 4 abandons traditional paylines completely. Instead of spinning reels, symbols drop vertically from above onto a 6×6 grid framed by an industrial space station. The real game happens after symbols land: four cartoon space-pirate parrots move across the grid like chess pieces, collecting matching-colour gems and triggering an arsenal of explosive features.
Each bird corresponds to one gem colour: red, green, blue, or purple. When symbols finish dropping, birds scan for adjacent collectable targets. A bird moves horizontally or vertically to a neighbouring gem of its colour, consumes it, then searches again. This continues in chain reactions until no bird can reach another valid symbol. All four birds can move simultaneously during the same collection sequence.
Birds don't just collect gems. They also grab wild symbols, coins showing instant multiplier values, upgrade symbols that boost gem payout levels, and special feature triggers like rockets, black holes, and bonus skulls. Every collected gem and wild fills the symbol collection meter displayed above the grid. Fill the meter completely to release random feature symbols onto the board during the next drop.
Collect a rocket symbol to summon Fire Minions: heavily armoured mech robots that appear on random grid positions. If a bird ends up adjacent to a Fire Minion (including diagonally), the bird catches fire and begins a "fire marathon" — sprinting randomly across the grid in horizontal and vertical bursts. Every position the burning bird crosses gets marked with a mystery fire symbol.
When the fire marathon ends, all mystery fire positions simultaneously reveal prizes. First-time positions show a random gem. Positions crossed multiple times escalate through four mystery fire levels, revealing progressively higher coin values. If a burning bird's path ends next to another bird, that second bird also ignites and starts its own fire marathon, creating chain reactions that can torch the entire grid.
The space station frame has four corner sections, each housing a corner bomb randomly assigned one of the four bird colours at the start of every round. When a bird collects a symbol while standing directly on top of its matching corner bomb, the bomb activates. Once birds finish their collection phase, activated bombs detonate simultaneously.
Each detonation clears a 3×3 area originating from the corner, removes that section of the space station frame, and expands the playable grid outward. The grid can grow from its base 6×6 size up to a maximum 8×8 in both the base game and bonus rounds. Removed space station sections become tunnels — birds can move through these outer corridors to collect feature symbols hidden inside the tunnel structure.
The Inferno coin game is Pirots 4's most volatile feature, but it requires precise triggering: you must collect a Spacecorn symbol (the red-and-white striped popcorn bucket), which fills empty grid spaces with popcorn kernels allowing birds to cross gaps, and then collect every single symbol on the grid during that Spacecorn-enabled round. Achieve this and Inferno launches immediately.
Inferno expands the grid to 9×9, places one bird in each corner, spawns four Fire Minions, and positions a "don't press" button dead centre. You receive 3 drops. Any drop landing at least one coin, bird, or Fire Minion resets the counter back to 3. Birds collect coins as they touch them; collected coin values add directly to your total win. If a bird reaches the central button, the Charlie feature triggers: every visible bird simultaneously catches fire and runs a fire marathon, leaving behind high-value mystery fires across the entire 9×9 arena.
Collect three bonus symbols (golden skulls) during any base game round to trigger the bonus game with 5 free drops. If one of those three skulls is a Super Bonus symbol (skull engulfed in flames), you instead trigger the Super Bonus game. Both modes award 5 free drops, but Super Bonus starts on the maximum 8×8 grid size and transforms every upgrade symbol into an "upgrade all" — meaning a single upgrade boosts all four gem colours simultaneously instead of just one.
Free drops retain your symbol collection meter progress and gem payout levels between spins. Each additional bonus symbol collected during free drops awards one extra drop (except during Power Clash). Corner bombs, Fire Minions, and pending feature symbol releases carry forward if active when bonus mode triggers.
All gems start at payout level 1. Collect an upgrade symbol and all gems of the collecting bird's colour jump up 1, 2, or 3 payout levels. Gems can escalate to a maximum of level 7. Each level significantly increases the gem's cash value when collected. Upgrade All symbols boost all four colours simultaneously. In Super Bonus mode, every upgrade automatically becomes Upgrade All.
When three or more birds end up horizontally or vertically adjacent with no moves left, Power Clash triggers. Birds slam together at one position, obliterating a 5×5 area centred on the clash point. Birds then fly outward from the collision in straight lines (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal), automatically collecting or activating corner bombs, rockets, black holes, coins, and bonus symbols in their flight path. Gems destroyed along the path don't count toward the collection meter.
Switcheroo is a random event when two adjacent birds have no moves: they swap positions. Space Switcheroo flings one bird across the grid to the edge or to the next collectable symbol in its trajectory, destroying non-collectable gems along the way (these don't count in the meter).
Black Hole symbols, when collected, absorb every symbol and all four birds off the grid, then redistribute everything in a randomised arrangement. The Black Hole can permanently remove one, two, or three birds from the round — all gems matching removed bird colours transform into colours of the remaining birds.
Pirots 4 offers five X-iter modes purchasable from the base game. Bonus Hunt costs 3× your bet and quadruples the chance of triggering the bonus game naturally. Fire Minions mode costs 25× bet and guarantees one drop with the Fire Minions feature activated; if you trigger bonus during this drop, it's automatically upgraded to Super Bonus. Inferno mode costs 50× bet and launches you straight into the Inferno coin game. Bonus costs 100× bet for guaranteed entry to the regular bonus game. Super Bonus costs 500× bet for immediate access to the premium 8×8 Super Bonus mode with Upgrade All active. All X-iter modes operate at the same 94.0% RTP as the base game.
Most video slots deliver wins through static payline matching. Pirots 4 replaces that entirely with spatial strategy: bird positioning, collection chains, and feature stacking. You're not waiting for symbols to line up; you're watching four independent agents navigate a tactical grid, triggering escalating chaos. The game rewards understanding bird movement patterns, recognising high-value collection opportunities, and predicting when multiple features will collide in the same sequence.
Maximum exposure comes from stacking mechanics: land a Fire Minions rocket during a round where corner bombs are primed, the collection meter is nearly full, and gem levels are already upgraded to 5 or 6. The resulting chain reaction — fire marathons crossing bomb detonations, mystery fires revealing high-level coins, expanded grid refilling with upgraded gems, and pending feature releases dumping more wilds and coins onto the board — creates the volatility spikes that approach the 10,000× max win cap.
The 94.0% RTP sits below the 96% industry average, meaning long-term return is slightly lower in exchange for the game's mechanical complexity and maximum win potential. Variance is high: extended dry spells followed by explosive multi-feature rounds. This isn't a slot for grinding small consistent wins; it's engineered for players chasing the Inferno coin game or Super Bonus jackpot sequences.
